چکیده

Soil is important among all the components of terrestrial ecosystems and is a main source of production in agriculture. Since soil is a dynamic system there is a continuous reaction between soil minerals, organic matter and organisms. These reactions influences physiochemical and biological properties of soil. Soil phosphatases is one of enzyme which plays a major role in the mineralisation processes (dephosphorylation) of organic P substrates.

Distribution of zinc and copper chemical forms and their relationship with some physico-chemical properties and clay minerals in some calcareous soils

Determination and recognition of relative distribution of chemical forms of each element and their relationship with physical, chemical and soil clay minerals can help researchers to manage soil fertility better. This research attempted to recognize chemical fractions of zinc (Zn) and copper (Cu) in some surface and subsurface soil samples of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province and their relati...

The Effect of Fruit Trees Pruning Waste Biochar on some Soil Biological Properties under Rhizobox Conditions

The pyrolysis of fruit trees Pruning waste to be converted to biochar with microbial inoculation is a strategy improving the biological properties in calcareous soils. In order to investigate the biochar effect on some soil biological properties of the soil in the presence of microorganisms, a factorial experiment was carried out in a completely randomized design in the rhizobox under greenhous...

Interactive Effects of Salinity and Cadmium Pollution on Enzyme Activity in a Calcareous Soil Treated With Plant Residues

Abiotic stresses such as salinity and contamination individually have a negative effect on the soil enzyme activities, whereas addition of organic matter to soil can alleviate the negative impacts of stresses on the enzyme activity. However, the combined effects of these stresses (multiple stresses) on soil biochemical conditions and the role of organic matter addition in these interactions are...

Effect of Acidic Biochars on Some Chemical Properties and Nutrient Availabilities of Calcareous Soils

Low organic matter content and alkaline pH of calcareous soils in arid and semi-arid regions are the main reasons for the low nutrient availabilities for plants in these soils. One way to improve the chemical properties and fertility of calcareous soils is the application of organic substances such as biochar produced from pyrolysis of organic wastes. However, biochars have an almost predominan...

Comparison of pedogenic properties of some paddy and nonpaddy soils of southern Iran

ABSTRACT- Paddy soils make up the largest anthropogenic wetlands on earth. Present study was performed to investigate and compare soil formation of paddy soils with long-term rice cultivation history with non-paddy soils and study the effect of waterlogging on soil pedogenesis. Soil samples were taken from paddy and non-paddy soils derived from the same calcareous parent materials. Some pedogen...
